Our poop bags are made of cornstarch material usually marketed and certified as "biodegradable".
But here's the truth: these bags, like arguably every "biodegradable" poop bag out there, only break down in specialized composting facilities - not in nature. When left in parks or on trails, they can remain intact for months or years, potentially breaking into harmful particles.
Until we have truly compostable bags and the infrastructure to handle them, this is the better enviromentally responsible option. As long as we don't leave it in the open enviroment.
